Neuroscience Outreach Activities from UMaine
The Townsend Lab does numerous outreach events each year to present the excitement and promise of neuroscience to students and the public. We often use the neuroscience of Optical Illusions as a way to start the discussion about brain function and brain science.

2015 – UMaine Neuroscience Club
The University of Maine offers a minor in neurobiology, and currently hosts a Neuro Journal Club for interested faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students. A student Neurobiology Club is currently being organized for graduate and undergraduate students to be involved in Brain Awareness Week initiatives and professional development activities.
